The De’Longhi La Specialista Maestro Hot & Cold Brew EC9865.M is a premium manual espresso machine designed for coffee lovers who want hands-on barista control with intelligent assistance. It combines precise bean grinding, automatic tamping, temperature control and two milk-frothing options with innovative cold-extraction technology for preparing both traditional hot coffees and refreshing cold drinks.

The integrated Sensor Grinding Technology uses two sensors to deliver a consistent quantity of freshly ground coffee for every preparation. Eight adjustable grinding settings allow the machine to accommodate different coffee beans, roast profiles and extraction preferences. The grinder dispenses coffee directly into the filter holder, helping simplify preparation and minimise waste.

Once the coffee has been ground, the Smart Tamping Station applies consistent pressure to the dose inside the machine. Simply pull the side lever to tamp the coffee evenly without removing the filter holder. This reduces mess from loose coffee grounds while helping create a level coffee puck for balanced extraction.

Active Temperature Control provides five infusion-temperature profiles, allowing the brewing temperature to be matched to the selected coffee beans. Lighter and darker roasts can require different extraction conditions, and the adjustable temperature system helps reveal their distinctive aromas and flavours. Dynamic Pre-Infusion automatically adapts the pre-infusion time according to the density of the ground coffee, gently and evenly wetting the coffee puck before full extraction begins.
