At just 18, Edward Hajjar dreamed of a better future. In a heartfelt letter to his brother in the U.S.A, he expressed his ambition to build a meaningful life and career.

Edward’s father and brother opened their first shop in Zahle, selling glassware and essential household items—planting the seeds of what would become a lifelong family business.

After a brief stay in New York, Edward returned to Lebanon and began working as a sales assistant at Librairie Hatem in Zahle.

Earning just 700 Lebanese Lira, Edward requested a small raise. When denied, he made the decision that would change everything—he joined the family business.

The family worked hand in hand. With rising demand for brands like Tefal, they began sourcing from Beirut and distributing across Zahle and surrounding areas.

Growth continued with the construction of a warehouse and a move to a larger store. The brand portfolio expanded to include Hoover, Magimix, Moulinex and more.

Edward officially launched Est. Edward Hajjar, transforming the family business into a growing wholesale force across Lebanon—from Zahle to Tripoli, Hasbaya, and beyond.

Over 30 years, Edward built a trusted wholesale network serving more than 120 clients. He proudly represented more than 10 international brands.

Edward passed away after a brave five-year battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and resilience.

With no prior experience, Edward’s wife, daughter, and son stepped in to carry his vision forward—navigating a difficult market with courage and commitment.
